As you know, many helpful and necessary printed forms and brochures are provided
to patients on a daily basis: intake forms, patient rights and responsibilities,
health maintenance booklets, newsletters, and so on. Unfortunately, not all
patients can read printed information. In fact, more than 15 million
patients in the United States cannot read print because of visual disabilities.
And with the senior population growing, visual-impairment is also increasing;
this figure is in addition to the 15 million identified.
When documents are transcribed into Braille and Sight-Saving print formats, visually-impaired patients do not have to ask your staff to read to them or, as is often the case, have no access to the vital information they need.
Quikscrybe, Inc. offers a cost-effective and efficient solution to the Medical industry. In accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990, Quikscrybe, Inc. has been working with such clients as Kaiser Permanente, Melina Health Plan, BlueCross, and Harcourt Brace Legal and Professional Services to transcribe various forms of medical and other information into Braille and Sight-Saving print for their visually-impaired consumers. The cost is reasonable; the result is independence and informed patients. Quikscrybe can make your documents accessible, too!
